A day filled with memories .. :)

 November 21, 2012 --  The Rappler team visited the University of San Jose - Recoletos to conduct a seminar on Social Media for Social change, encouraging students from Cebu, Philippines to make use of the Social media as a tool for the good of the society.

 generous speakers were :  Maria Ressa, Chay Hofileña,  Ayee Macaraig, Michael Josh Villanueva, Nastashya Gutierrez, and Patricia Evangelista.

Students from different schools in Cebu City got hooked by the inspirational and educational talks shared by each of the speakers..


After the seminar the Rappler team were kind enough to give the students an opportunity to take photos with them to make the event even more memorable...

ANTM Cycle 19 Winner

Whooooohooo!! Laura James of Paul Smith's College bagged the title of America's Next Top Model : College Edition!! I really thought that the winner would be Leila Goldkuhl because she got skyrocketing votes from the fans online and is also good in photoshoots. However, Unexpectedly, the winner is Laura and I also cannot question that because she showed versatility throughout the competition that made her a very strong contender.. Congratulations to the Winners ; First place : Laura James, Second Place : Kiara Belen, Third Place : Leila Goldkuhl..

M's experience on Radio Acting

Being a drama talent is not easy as what i had expected it would be. there are times when you will be pressured by the deadlines of script submission, but what's more challenging is when i can't seem to project the character i am portraying. As a drama talent, I realized that it's never easy to do drama for radio because you have to act using your voice and your voice alone.

Despite of hardships that I have encountered as a drama talent, i must say that this is one of the most fulfilling positions ever. Whenever you hear the full drama being aired, all of the difficulties you experienced during the process instantaneously melt away, especially when you get good feedback from your listeners.. Being a drama talent is challenging but if you have the passion for it, you will never get tired of holding that microphone and tell whole university the story that you want to share.

--DYAR INTERNSHIP may be stressing, but this is one of the most unforgettable experiences I had in my college life--

To Blog or Not to Blog?

Blogging? Uh-oh.. I've never thought of creating one, not until I enrolled in the subject called "WEB ADVERTISING".. I really don't have any idea on how this thing works. All i know is that a lot people earn good money from this "JOB" when they have good topics put onto good writing. WRITING..WRITING..WRITING.. I'm not a person blessed with the talent in writing, that's why I am hesitant to do this. I just hope that this thing called "BLOGGING" will be good to me.. May God bless me wisdom so that I'll be able to tackle topics that interests YOU and ME as well..
